A magnet at the bottom of the vase pushes against an electromagnetic base, causing the plant to twirl in midair and get some 360-degree sunshine — in turn making all your guests look like wide-eyed emoji.

A hidden reservoir also collects extra water for those of you who love your plants a little too much. Even more good news for your greens: The company claims magnetic fields accelerate the ripening of certain fruits, meaning they might also enhance your plant's metabolism. Behold, the wonders of biology.

The vase is inching toward its Kickstarter goal of $80,000, already having raised more than $64,000. You can get one for yourself (with a free plant included) for $199, with shipping slated for September.

Sure, it's an investment, but can you really put a price on levitation?

To be fair, this isn't the first floating plant we've seen. In January, we heard about a levitating bonsai tree that made Harry Potter's "wyngaridum leviosa!" look like chopped liver. And with the recent phone-charging vase, it seems like plants are suddenly getting a lot fancier. But hey, we're OK with that.
